Sustainable process management for sustainable companies

"Sustainability" has long since ceased to be a trendy term and has become a real life mantra. But above all, it is also an ongoing process - in which your company can also participate. We will show you how a modern IMS can support your company in becoming a pioneer in sustainability!

How an integrated management system can potentiate your environmental management

"Sustainability" has long ceased to be a trendy term. It is a topic that, with increasing awareness of man's responsibility to take care of our planet, has rightly become a central building block in the thinking of consumers and entrepreneurs. Nevertheless, too often there is still a lot of catching up to do when it comes to the topic of sustainability - especially because actually doing business sustainably unfortunately still involves a certain amount of effort. However, there are ways to minimise this additional effort - and thus reasons why a focus on sustainability can develop into a real competitive advantage. How is all this supposed to work? Let's take a closer look.

It is not at all easy to successfully bring sustainability to the fore.

The Challenge: Sustainable once ≠ sustainable everywhere

"Sustainability" is an extremely broad term that has a meaning in pretty much every area of business. As a production company, for example, aligning its own production facilities as sustainably as possible is accordingly only a very small part of the cake, if the raw materials used and the logistics of the products are completely removed from any environmental awareness. A wide web of requirements emerges, all of which require different measures and approaches. To support our sustainability measures, we are therefore looking for a system that at best represents all of our company's processes and at the same time offers a possibility to conduct audits for our processes in order to optimise our process landscape again and again in the best possible way in the long term.

The solution: Sustainable optimisation of processes with sustainable IMS

One possibility: the introduction of an integrated management system, or IMS for short. Why? Well ...

Display all processes? Check!
Record audits and monitor their implementation? Check!
Optimise processes based on the results of these audits? Check!

In this sense, an IMS already offers a solid foundation to support one's own sustainability efforts. Still not enough? It also goes with icing on the cake: An IMS filled with "crowd mining", which has access to the company's actual processes and thus to the employees, instead of being oriented towards the target processes specified by the manager. This makes it possible to respond even better to the real processes that are taking place. In addition, these systems are also much more agile, as the person responsible for the process can be involved in the optimisation of his or her processes.

As always: (good) teamwork makes the dream work

aiio's Payoff: Managing for the long term with a clear conscience

IMS set up? Very nice! Just CONTINUOUSLY keep at it and look at the fruits of one's own labour: significantly more sustainable business, innovations in the field of sustainability and thus, due to one's own farsightedness and perseverance, not only reap long-term competitive advantages, but above all also work with a clear conscience. Because your own company is now actively helping to shape the more sustainable industry of tomorrow. Chapeau!
