Process management software for start-ups
Process management is only something for large corporations and not yet worthwhile for young start-ups? Far from it. Starting today will save a lot of time, money and above all nerves in the long run.

Process management software for start-ups - is it really necessary?
Especially fast-growing companies run the risk of losing track of all the processes running in the company. Although documenting these processes requires some effort, it is very worthwhile in the long run if it is started early enough.

Does process management software for start-ups always have to be expensive?
We have also asked ourselves this question. Traditionally, process management software has indeed been one of the more expensive IT measures. To be fair, many tools also offer very complex display options. With aiio we offer a lean software at a fair price.

What are the alternatives to process management software?
An alternative can be not to use process management software. However, this option can only be pursued if you do not need certifications such as ISO 9001, as this requires processes to be documented. Many young companies work with unsorted Word and Excel documents. This may still work with 10 employees, but as soon as 50 employees start working together, it becomes very confusing.

How can the implementation of process management software become successful?
The sobering truth is that many companies decide to use a process management system, but fail to use it profitably. In the following flowchart we will show you what often goes wrong and how you can do it better.
Needs are identified
The audit for the important certification is coming up and all processes are outdated or not even included yet. The worst case. As a start-up, don't make the same mistake and take care of the introduction and maintenance of audit-relevant processes in advance.
Tool research begins
The market for different process management software is large. Writing to all the manufacturers and asking for a test environment can take months. Are you up for it? There are supposed to be manufacturers where the software can be tested in 2 minutes in the browser. (click)
Decision made? Offer and negotiation are pending.
Afterextensive testing, have you found a suitable solution? Unfortunately, prices have not been published. In your individual negotiation you now have to make sure that you get a good offer. At aiio, everyone pays the same.
Implementation phase
You've bought the right software and now you want to integrate it into your existing IT systems? Well, congratulations, because the real fun part is just beginning. Many tools are designed in such a way that additional implementation effort is necessary to make the system usable in a meaningful way (which is why most implementation projects fail in the implementation phase, by the way). aiio works as a pure web app immediately in the browser. With a few clicks of the administrator, aiio can also be operated in Microsoft Teams and, as an M365 app, can be immediately linked to all common Microsoft programmes.
Process recording
Thesoftware is finally running and you are ready to finally fill your system with content? A trained process manager now goes from employee to employee and asks about his or her tasks and processes, from whom he or she receives documents and to whom they are passed, etc. Afterwards, the process manager fills in the software. This is not only quite tedious for the process manager, it also simply takes forever. And whether he could really remember everything and understood every workflow correctly? We doubt it. With aiio, we invented digital process recording. Here, employees can independently enter their workflows into the system in a simple input mask. Process managers can then convert the submitted content into a standardized BPM form.
All processes in the system? And what happens next?
In most cases, nothing really happens. Often processes are only included so that a certification can be achieved and as soon as this is achieved, the topic is uninteresting again. But the next certification is coming. And well-structured processes have other advantages. For example, new employees find their way around much faster. You can also find out much more quickly where work processes can be improved - not at all uninteresting for companies with the urge to grow quickly. In the traditional sense, keeping processes up to date means that the process manager goes from employee to employee and asks if there are any changes. At aiio, anyone can submit a change proposal or write comments on existing processes, which give the process manager an indication that changes have occurred.
